I've been using MyIE2 for ages and lately, they renamed it Maxthon.

There is only one problem now that wasn't present with myIE2 and it's the WB animations. When downloading a file, the progress bar is skinned (and everything else for that matter) but whatever the WB theme used, there is only the windows default animation shown.

I'm just wondering if it's something I did or it's the case for everybody else using Maxthon.

Thanx in advance.

It's the same here, only default animations but I can only speak for myself

Rats.

I guess I'll have to live without the anims as there is no way I'm going back to IE.

Although Frogboy mentioned a tabbed browser in the works, so...

You are basically "using" IE as MyIE2 (or Maxthon) uses the IE engine.

Not quite Kona.

If you've ever used MyIE2, you'd know the many differences especially in the GUI (tab browsing, plugins, etc.). Maxthon uses the IE engine all right (the backend only), but that's it.

I have used it. Although I prefer IE, I must say Firefox is still faster and has more features than MyIE2.

kona : you must be kidding.

Maxthon blows Firefox out of the water.

IIRC my progress animations work fine.

I would much prefer firefox: it has nothing "Microsoft" about it. Besides with the proper extensions Firefox is much better for me!!

Maxthon comes with more features with the basic setup but Firefox has more options available to it overall, plus it doesn't use the flawed IE engine.
I used to use MyIE2 and it had problems using its own skins together with WB. Firefox has no such issues for me.
